Dr. Dave Kroeger
Dr. Dave Kroeger grew up in South Central Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate studies at University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He then attended the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1985.
After practicing in Twin Falls, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah, he moved to Omaha in 1992 to be closer to family and friends.
Dr. Kroeger is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association and the Association of Avian Veterinarians.
Dr. Kroeger is married and has 3 daughters.

Dr. Kroeger's hobbies include fishing, golf, and reading.

Dr. Matthew Sternberg
Dr. Sternberg is an associate veterinarian at American Animal Hospital.
He grew up in Shelby, Iowa. Dr. Sternberg did his undergraduate studies in Animal Science at Iowa State University. Dr. Sternberg also attended veterinary school at Iowa State University where he graduated in May 1999. He worked in Shelby, Iowa and Bellevue, Nebraska before coming to American Animal Hospital.
Dr. Sternberg is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association, and Iowa Veterinary Medical Association. His veterinary interests include pharmacology, dermatology.
Dr. Sternberg is married to Janae, and has two sons Kyle and Luke. Some of his hobbies include water skiing, golfing, and watching sports.

Dr. Jay Jesske
Dr. Jay Jesske is a partner at the American Animal Hospital.
Dr. Jesske grew up in rural Nebraska. His love of animals started at an early age as he had many farm pets. He showed quarter horses on a national level.
Dr. Jesske graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1988.
After veterinary school he worked at the Bellevue Animal Hospital in Bellevue, Nebraska, and the Dog and Cat Clinic in Leavenworth, Kansas. In 1993, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska and began practicing at American Animal Hospital.
He and his wife have 4 daughters. They currently have 1 cat and 2 gold fish.

Dr. Sarah Roelofs
Dr. Roelofs earned her bachelor's of veterinary science degree at the University of Minnesota, followed by her DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991.
She worked for 13 years at the Niles Animal Hospital and Bird Medical Center in Chicago. Niles Animal Hospital is well known for pioneering avian medicine since Dr. Ted Lefeber opened it in the early 1950's. Dr. Roelofs was the senior veterinary associate at Niles for the past 6 years. She is very experienced with bird and small mammals, and enjoys their medical and surgery cases. She also enjoys working with cats and dogs, especially geriatric medicine, behavior counseling, and internal medicine.
Dr. Roelofs moved to Omaha in the summer of 2004 to be closer to her husband's family, and to have more time at home while the kids were young. She has two kids and two dogs. She enjoys hiking and biking with her family, scuba diving, dancing, and reading.

Dr. Jennifer Philips
Dr. Jennifer Phillips is an associate veterinarian at American Animal Hospital.
She grew up on a farm near Bushton, KS. Her love of animals came from her grandfather and her experiences with animals on the farm. She spent two years of undergraduate studies at Sterling College and two years at Kansas State University. She also attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University and graduated in May 2008.
Dr. Phillips is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She was also a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, and the Veterinary Business Management Association on Kansas State University.
Dr. Phillips' husband, Chris, teaches 2nd grade in the area. Some of her hobbies include hiking, four-wheeling, and watching movies. Her pets include two cats, Mina and Shungho.
