I grew up in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Attended Iowa State University for both undergraduate and veterinary school. Practiced as a small animal veterinarian in Centerville, Iowa until recently moving back to the Omaha area to be closer to family. Married to Jim, son Jackson and daughter Kendall. We love cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones in all athletic events. We have a 15 year old cat, Frankie. I enjoy running and participating in local runs.
Dr. Jay Jesske is a partner at American Animal Hospital. Dr. Jesske grew up in rural Nebraska. His love of animals started at an early age as he had many farm pets. He showed Quarter horses on a national level.
Dr. Jesske graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1988.
After veterinary school he worked at the Bellevue Animal Hospital in Bellevue, Nebraska, and The Dog and Cat Clinic in Leavenworth, Kansas. In 1993, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska and began practicing at American Animal Hospital.
He and his wife have 4 daughters. They currently have 1 dog, a Golden Doodle, Kona, and a beta fish, Nemo.
Dr. Dave Kroeger grew up in south central Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He then attended the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1985.After practicing in Twin Falls, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah, he moved to Omaha in 1992 to be closer to family and friends.
Dr. Kroeger is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association and the Association of Avian Veterinarians. Dr. Kroeger is married and has 3 daughters.

Dr. Kroeger’s hobbies include fishing, golf, and reading.
Dr. Nicholas Hellbusch grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and went to Westside High School. He graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln for undergrad in 2012 and Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. He has 2 dogs, Rocky and Winky, who are both rescue pups! His hobbies include participating in triathlons, golfing, going to the lake and cheering on the Huskers
Dr. Amanda Jondle grew up on a small farm in Iowa. She finished undergrad at Union College, in Lincoln, NE, and went to veterinary school at Iowa State University. After veterinary school Dr. Jondle and her husband moved to Tennessee where after 2 years they realized they missed their Midwest home and eagerly came back!
Her husband is from Omaha and they lived here for a year before vet school. During this year Dr. Jondle worked at AAH as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. She is happy to be back home now at AAH as a doctor.
Dr. Jondle and her husband have 4 dogs and 3 cats. Besides spending time with her husband and pets, Dr. Jondle enjoys working out, running, horseback riding, reading, and spending time with her family and friends especially now that she lives closer!
